Remuneration is in the Gramo context a statutory form of payment or compensation for the use of recorded music in the public space.

For those of you who use music outside the private sphere, this is the compensation you have to pay to those who invest time, talent and money in music.

For those of you who contribute musically, own or have rights to music, this is an allowance for when your music is played publicly on the radio and in shops, restaurants, cafes, gyms and the like.

The remuneration right Gramo administers is based on the Copyright Act § 21 , which states that performing artists and producers are entitled to payment if their audio recordings have been used in broadcasting or performed in public.
